Moored in the Cove
"Storm Approaching", 5 x 7, oil on canvas - This is becoming a familiar sight here in Nashville. We've had one bad weather system after another, which can be very dramtic scenes to capture. This was painted from the pedestrian bridge over the Cumberland River, and these small works will be in Nashville Gallery through the end of Januray. www.nashvillegallery.netFriday, December 4, 2009

Autumn Sunlight

7" x 5", Oil on Canvas - This is another little gem for the upcoming "Small Works Show" at Nashville Gallery, opening on December 5, running through the end of January. These two little cottages are some of the oldest structures still standing from the Civil War located on the Glen Leven Estate in Nashville. This is from an absolutely beautiful, crisp fall day in full afternoon sun. For more information on this gallery visit: http://www.nashvillegallery.net/

Sliver of Light
I love the pattern the sun makes on the buildings in Italy and I'm always inspired to capture it. This little gem will be going to Ruthie Cherry Fine Art in time for the "Holiday Open House" on Saturday, November 14. http://www.rcfineart@bellsouth.net/

Morning Light, at Glen Leven
Cool, crisp air and dappled morning light gave these little cottages behind the Glen Leven Estate their charm. This property is one of the oldest standing buildings left in tack from the civil war located at 4000 Franklin Road, less than a mile from Thompson Lane.
This painting will be on display in the upcoming Chestnut Group fundraiser called "Once in a Blue Moon9" held at Glen Leven to benefit The Land Trust for TN, October 24, 6:30 pm.

"Sun Drenched Haystacks"
Once every spring and fall the farms in Tennessee cut fresh bales of hay that dapple the hillside with great patterns of light and shadow. This piece is hot off the easel after a day of painting on location with some nutty friends at a gorgeous farm outside of Franklin.
