For me it means to paint on location, capturing the atmosphere or mood of the moment. I want the viewer to feel exactly what it was that made me take a second look at the scene, and to make an emotional connection with that response. After thinking about this post I discovered I just revised my artist statement and while updating my website I also discovered this article "The Value of Original Art" . This is deeply meaningful to me and I wanted to share it with anyone who creates, teaches and represents Original Art!
